Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Associate Professor Zhang Qingfeng (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering) was elected as a Fellow of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET Fellow) earlier this month.
Being elected as an IET Fellow is the highest academic honor in the IET society, and is awarded to outstanding research scholars and technicians who have contributed to significant achievements in engineering and technology.
Associate Professor Zhang Qingfeng is the vice head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and vice chair of IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society Shenzhen Chapter. He has long been studying microwave and millimeter-wave circuits & antennas. He has published over 80 papers in high-impact journals and presented about 90 proceeding papers at international conferences.
Dr. Zhang Qingfeng has won Young Scientist Awards from the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) in April 2018 and the Applied Computing Electromagnetic Society (ACES) in August 2018. He has served as the Associate Editor of IEEE Access and Guest Editor of International Journal of Antennas and Propagation, while also chairing or co-chairing numerous conferences.
The IET is the world’s leading professional academic society in engineering technology, with over 167,000 members in 150 countries. It is the largest international academic society in Europe and the second largest one in the world (IEEE being the largest). The IET involves five major areas, including energy and power, transportation, information and communication, design and manufacturing, and construction environment, with more than 40 professional fields.
