On April 7, the College of Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held an online advice session for those seeking to apply for grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2020.

College of Engineering Associate Dean for Academics Bi ZHANG (Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering Chair Professor) worked with NSFC research Yuanzhong LEI to give the presentation.

More than one hundred research staff and administrators tuned into the meeting. Yuanzhong LEI spoke about the “Natural Science Foundation Talent Project Application.” They focused on how to apply for specific programs, how to impress the judges, the competitiveness of those grant programs, and the specific skills required in writing the grant applications.

Yuanzhong LEI took many questions after the presentation from the attending research staff.
