SUSTech Chair Professor Hong WANG elected IEEE Fellow 2021

On November 25, SUSTech Department of Materials Science and Engineering Chair Professor Hong WANG was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for her contribution to the development, integration, and industrialization of novel dielectric ceramics and composites for passive integration.

Prof. Hong WANG is a recipient of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, a distinguished expert of the Ministry of Education, and an expert with Special Government Allowances of the State Council. Her main research interests include dielectric materials, multifunctional composites, and dielectric measurements. She is also the Council member of Chinese Ceramic Society, Member of IEEE Ferroelectric Standing Committee, Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics & Frequency Control, Editorial Board members of Journal of Advanced Ceramics, IET Nanodielectrics and Journal of The Chinese Ceramic Society, Vice-President of the 1st Council of Micronanotechnology Branch of Chinese Ceramic Society, Executive deputy director of Special Committee on Key Materials and Technologies for Electronic Components of China Instruments and Functional Materials Society, and Member of the 11th Committee of Electronic Components Branch of Chinese Electronics Society.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, IEEE is an international association of electronic technology and information science engineers. It was established in 1963, with its headquarters in New York. There are over 420,000 members from over 160 countries, and 50% of them are from countries outside America. It is the world’s largest technical professional society. IEEE Fellow is awarded to IEEE members who make great contributions to science and engineering technologies. Less than 0.1% of members can get the title every year.
