From December 4 to 5, 2020, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and Shenzhen University (SZU) co-hosted the 2020 Annual Meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Teaching Committee for Undergraduate Universities in Guangdong Province. Around 120 people, including Dongxiao ZHANG, Vice President of SUSTech, members of the Committee and faculty representatives joined this event. The meeting was chaired by Qianjin FENG, Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering of SUSTech.

The meeting discussed disciplinary construction of biomedical engineering. Representatives of some universities gave reports on the teaching and research construction as well as the experience of disciplinary construction in their universities.

At the meeting, Qianjin FENG summarized the work of the teaching committee in 2020 and laid out the 2021 work plan. After the meeting, all participants visited the School of Biomedical Engineering of SUSTech and the biomedical engineering laboratory of SZU.
