Recently, the 2nd Biomedical Chemometrics Seminar was held in SUSTech. Almost one hundred experts and scholars from the Greater Bay Area attended the seminar, with 12 experts in the research field of chemical biology and biomedical giving reports. The theme of the seminar is “Application of Multidimensional Chemometrics Characterization and Chemobiology Intervention Strategies in Biomedicine”.
Mingjie ZHANG, Dean of the College of Life Sciences, and Zhiping ZHENG, Head of the Department of Chemistry introduced the development of SUSTech in the two disciplines.
Experts and scholars had an in-depth discussion on the application of chemical biology technology, biological mass spectrometry technology, microfluidic chip technology, synthetic biology technology in cancer treatment, neuroscience, marine science, and coronavirus-control.
The seminar provides guidance for the layout of chemical biology and biomedical related disciplines in SUSTech.
