On January 22, 2021, Yurong GUO, University Council Chairperson of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), reviewed the work of the Graduate School. Fengliang LI, University Council Vice Chairperson, and Dongxiao ZHANG, Vice President, also attended the seminar.

The seminar was held in the conference room of the Administration Building. At the meeting, Chairperson Yurong GUO listened to Shuanghua YANG’s report on the state of affairs of postgraduate education and the progress of key work. The seminar focused on issues such as the management system, the quality of graduate education and teaching, and the construction of community organizations. Members in attendance discussed in-depth how to lead the growth of research.

Chairperson GUO acknowledged the success of the Graduate School since its establishment. She said that the University attaches great importance to the training of graduate students, adheres to the fundamentals of establishing morals and cultivating people, and promotes the high-quality development of graduate education. The Graduate School should continue to coordinate with other departments to further enhance the graduate training and strengthen philosophical guidance which can help students to grow and broaden their horizons.

Siqi CHEN, Director of the Office of Party Affairs and Administration at SUSTech, Jiaqing HE, Vice Dean of the College of Science, Hong WANG, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering, Pinghui WANG, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Quan LIU, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Medicine, staff of the Graduate School and representatives of graduate students were also in attendance at the seminar.
