The organizing committee of the 2025 Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits (VLSI Symposium) recently announced its list of accepted papers.

Three research papers from the School of Microelectronics (SME) at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) have been selected for presentation at the event.

Among the accepted submissions, Assistant Professor Longyang LIN’s research group contributed two papers. The first, titled “A 425pW,0.3V,32kHz Crystal Oscillator in 22nm FDSOI with Adaptive Pulse Injection and Amplitude Regulation Across -40°C to 125°C”, with master’s student Xuye WANG and doctoral student Yingjie ZHU serving as the co-first authors.

Their second paper was titled “A Radiation-Hardened Neuromorphic Imager with Self-Healing Spiking Pixels and Unified Spiking Neural Network for Space Robotics”, with visiting Ph.D. student Quan CHENG serving as the first author. Professor LIN is the corresponding author for both papers, with SUSTech serving as the first affiliated institution.

The third paper, led by Assistant Professor Yuan GAO’s research group, is titled “A Dual-Mode Direct-Drive D-GaN Driver with Reused Inductor and Power Switches for Negative Voltage Generation and Gate Energy Recycling”. Ph.D. student Peng CHU is the first author, with Professor GAO serving as the corresponding author. SUSTech is also the first affiliated institution of this work.

The VLSI Symposium is recognized as a top-tier conference in the field of integrated circuits and semiconductors, alongside ISSCC and IEDM. Held alternately in the United States and Japan each summer, it brings together leading experts from around the world to explore the latest breakthroughs and future directions in VLSI technology.

Recognized for its prestige and industry impact, the VLSI Symposium selects papers not only for their academic innovation but also for their relevance to real-world applications and technological advancement.
