July 15 Auckland, New Zealand–At the invitation of the International Conference on Computational Methods (ICCM), SUSTC President Professor Shiyi Chen attended  the conference and gave a plenary lecture on the topic of Constrained Variation in Multiscale Modeling and Simulation on the first day.

At the conference, President Chen talked about the situation on the reform and innovation of SUSTC. The university’s development is closely related to the advance of Shenzhen. The lecture has caused wide concern from the participants and many overseas universities have expressed their willingness to cooperate and co-research with SUSTC. The director of the Department of International Cooperation answered the questions.

The ICCM is an international conference with 11 years of history, providing an international forum for exchanging ideas on recent advances in areas related to computational methods, numerical modelling & simulation, as well as their applications in engineering and science. It will accommodate presentations on a wide range of topics to facilitate inter-disciplinary exchange of ideas in science, engineering and related disciplines, and foster various types of academic collaborations.
