Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Vice President Teng Jinguang led a delegation to Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory in Dongguan, Guangdong Province last week. Director of the laboratory Wang Weihua and chief scientist Zhao Jinkui welcomed the SUSTech delegation. Senior leaders from SUSTech and Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory were also in attendance.

Vice President Teng Jinguang and his delegation visited the exhibition hall, the lithium-ion battery laboratory, the flexible cell laboratory, and the light element laboratory.

Vice President Teng Jinguang said that SUSTech’s R&D direction matches that of the Songshan Lake Materials laboratory. He hoped that both sides would further explore opportunities for resource sharing and development. Vice President Teng Jinguang commented that it was an excellent chance to jointly promote the social and economic development of Guangdong province, while contributing to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Director Wang Weihua hoped that primary scientific research projects and national R&D plan would be mutually promoted by both parties. He pointed out that it is essential to work together and maintain close cooperation in order to improve the quality of scientific research.
