HIT-SUSTech Graduate Program Exchange Meeting held at SUSTech

The Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT)-Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Graduate Program Exchange Meeting has recently taken place at SUSTech. President Chen Shiyi and Vice President Tang Tao and Wang Jixiang of SUSTech; Gao Dong, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of HIT; and other leaders attended the meeting. Wang Yang, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of SUSTech, chaired the meeting.

Chen welcomed the delegation led by Gao and thanked HIT for its strong support. Tang introduced the studies and lives of SUSTech’s graduate students, expecting for broader exchanges and cooperation with HIT.

Gao conveyed the greetings of HIT’s leaders. He appreciated SUSTech’s educational concept and faculty. SUSTech is a banner of Chinese universities and colleges, and HIT is honored to the join the first domestic graduate student training program of SUSTech, said him.

At the meeting, SUSTech’s schools and departments introduced respective faculty, research construction, training schemes, curriculum system, etc.

Following the meeting, the delegation held talks with some graduate students.

With the strong support of the Ministry of Education and HIT, SUSTech initiated domestic joint graduate student admission in 2016, planning to admit 25 PhD candidates and 164 master candidates in association with HIT. These graduate students are the first group involved in this program. They will be trained at SUSTech.
