Earlier this week, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its annual conference for the Safe Work Committee. SUSTech Vice President Lu Chun joined over one hundred other committee members, including Deputy Director of the Office of Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) Jiang Xianggui at the conference. Deputy Director Jiang Xianggui presided over the conference.

Vice President Lu Chun, also OSHE Director, pointed out the importance of maintaining a safe campus in every facet at all times. He encouraged everyone to work hard to ensure that every student, staff member and faculty member was able to do what they did in a safe and secure manner.

OSHE Deputy Director Jiang Xianggui went over what was required for every department, including issues regarding emergencies, inspections, and requirements during holidays. He encouraged them to maintain the highest of standards to ensure a safe campus for all.

The end of the meeting saw different committee members talk about opportunities for continued improvements to safety and security across campus, in order to make SUSTech safe for all its intended purposes.
