On December 7, the College of Science at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) established its Alumni Association, on the 2^nd anniversary of its own founding. SUSTech University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang, Communications and Public Relations Director Zhang Ling, College of Science Dean Yang Xueming and Alumni Association Deputy Secretary-General Geng Jun attended the ceremony. Leaders of constituent departments of the College of Science, alumni, students, and other representatives also participated in the establishment ceremony.

SUSTech University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang congratulated the Alumni Association of the College of Science for its founding. He said that integrating alumni into their activities will be valuable in the future as a professional organization. Li Fengliang stressed the mobilization of faculty resources to innovate in the use of alumni in different ways, and ultimately serving the alumni community.

Alumni Association Deputy Secretary-General Geng Jun spoke about the development of the Alumni Association at SUSTech. She highlighted that the Alumni Association at the College of Science is the first college-centered Alumni Association.

College of Science Dean Yang Xueming talked about the expansion of the College of Science since its establishment. The number of departments, faculty members, and students has expanded rapidly, and the quality of scientific research has also improved dramatically. Alumni are vital representatives of the College and SUSTech, so their development will be integral to supporting everyone in the future.
