On April 27, 2021, Huaguo ZHANG, Shenzhen Branch Director of China Development Bank (CDB), and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Qikun XUE, President of SUSTech, Dongxiao ZHANG, Vice President, and Yusheng ZHAO, Acting Vice President, welcomed the guests as the two parties held discussions.

Huaguo ZHANG gave a brief introduction on the history, the current state of affairs, and future development plans of CDB. He said that SUSTech has made remarkable achievements in its development over the past ten years. He noted that the University has the advantage of acquiring top talents and contributing towards scientific research to tackle key problems in the fields of science and technology and industrial development.

Qikun XUE said that SUSTech is a new type of research university that’s rooted in China and is striving to become a world-class university with global influence. He expects both sides to strengthen their cooperation to grow emerging science and technology industries, talent training, and contribute to the development of the “dual-zone” and the continued growth of the country.

Pinwu LI and Jingli JIANG, Vice Presidents of CDB (Shenzhen Branch), and heads of relevant departments of SUSTech also attended the event. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on technology transfer and personnel training.

Huaguo ZHANG and his delegation also visited the SUSTech exhibition of development and achievements and the Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center.
