On June 8, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Marine Environment Protection Practice Base was unveiled in Dapeng, which is located at the Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula Maritime Library and Dive4Love Marine Environmental Education Center.

Xiaoming SHEN, Liberian of the Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula Maritime Library, Yongshun CHEN, Dean of the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering (OSE), Shuxiong ZHOU, Vice President of Shenzhen Manjinghua Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Henian E, Curator of the University Library, attended the event.

Xiaoming SHEN said that the Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula Maritime Library hopes to carry out in-depth cooperation with SUSTech and contribute to developing Shenzhen into an international ocean city.

Yongshun CHEN said that SUSTech would strengthen collaboration and exchanges with the Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula Maritime Library, and carry out public welfare and teaching activities to further enhance the public’s awareness of marine culture.

After the unveiling ceremony, the guests also visited a series of themed exhibitions.
