Recently, SUSTech’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering teamed up with the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence to co-host the SUSTech-UTS Joint Workshop on Advanced Optimisation and Learning. More than 80 experts and scholars in the optimization and intelligence fields from home and abroad attended the seminar.
Vice Dean Professor Wang Hong of the School of Sciences, and Professor Yao Xin, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, welcomed the participants and thanked the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) for its support of joint postgraduate programs and research centers.
“We are very pleased to establish close cooperation with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SUSTech,” said UTS Associate Vice President and Professor Zhang Chengqi, “ I hope that both our universities will seek common development and strive to build a world-class computer science program.”
Distinguished Professor Jie Lu at UTS, introduced the Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) at UTS.
An unveiling ceremony for SUSTech-UTS Joint Center of Computational Intelligence Systems preceded a workshop that saw a total of 16 high-level academic reports presented.
