On March 20th, the Head of Accenture and MIT Alliance in Business Analytics David Simchi-Levi visited our university. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Management Science, the top management journal. SUSTech Vice President Tang Tao met David and discussed the further cooperation with him.

Vice president Tang Tao warmly welcomed David Simchi-Levi. He said that SUSTech is establishing partnerships on research and education with some world-class universities. He hoped that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and SUSTech’s Business School could conduct comprehensive and multilevel cooperation in the business field.

Both sides had an intense discussion about potential areas of cooperation including areas of co-operative research, Ph.D.’s, postdoctoral co-cultivation, and executive education for government and industry. Both Vice President Tang and Professor Simchi-Levi reached an agreement over a number of issues.

The Accenture and MIT Alliance in Business Analytics is an applied research collaboration focused on developing new business analytics solutions to help global companies make more informed decisions, solving some of their most critical challenges.
