Deputy Vice-Chancellor Shi Wei from HKUST visited the Physics teaching laboratory

At the invitation of our university, a delegation of six people led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Shi Wei from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology visited our university in the afternoon on April 29th 2014. After the meeting with our university leaders, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Shi Wei visited the teaching laboratory at the Department of Physics, accompanied by our Party Secretary Li Ming, President Zhu Qingshi, and Vice Party Secretary Li Ping.

       Professor Huo Jianqing, Director of the Physics Experiment Teaching Laboratory, provided an introduction about our university’s experiment teaching ideas, methods, curricula and laboratory construction to Mr Shi. Among these, she focused on the escalating teaching system composed of “Foundation for Physics Experiments”, “Comprehensive Physical Experiments”, “Experiments of Modern Physical Technology” and “Research-type Experiments”. In addition, she highlighted the information-based teaching platform of physics experiment, which consists of “Student Registration System”, “Preview System” and “Simulation System”. Professor Huo also briefly introduced the achievements they had made in experiment teaching recently.

After Professor Huo’s presentation, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Shi Wei expressed a keen interest in the physics experiment courses at our university and had a discussion with her about this.
