The major point of discussion was the development of a talent pipeline and the introduction of group-based support staff.

Guo Yurong said that all university directors should make joint efforts to excel in providing assistance. She encouraged the Huizhou College leaders to take flexible and effective measures to meet the needs of Huizhou College through planning assistance, discipline development assistance, and the development of a talent pipeline. He expressed the hope that in addition to the traditional strengths of normal education, he could focus on science and engineering in the future. He was particularly keen on developing education in areas such as electronic information and the petrochemical industry to help improve Huizhou economically and socially. Mr. Peng Yonghong hopes that SUSTech would help Huizhou College develop and put together the key disciplines for such a project, the construction of degree sites and the further training of young teachers.
